The Organization and Location:
Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship (MBSC) is located in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). KAEC is the largest privately funded Economic City in Saudi Arabia located on the pristine beaches of the Red Sea. Its busy sea port and growing industrial valley are home to a community that takes advantage of the quiet working environment only an hour from the bustling city of Jeddah.

MBSC’s mission is to establish a world-class business school that will contribute to the transformation of the Saudi economy by being part of an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Kingdom and the region. The college will meet the highest international standards for education and admit the most qualified students from the region and the world, helping the Kingdom realize its desire to transform to a knowledge based economy as outlined by the National Vision for 2030. http://vision2030.gov.sa/en

MBSC is being developed in conjunction with Babson Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of Babson College in Boston, Massachusetts, number one in entrepreneurship education for the past 24 years. Babson Global is responsible for developing MBSC’s curriculum, training its faculty, and guiding the college toward gaining accreditation by international agencies such as NEASC and AACSB.

In 2016, MBSC inaugurated a state-of -the-art facility that houses graduate degree-granting programs and Executive and Continuing Education. Plans for an undergraduate campus are in development. MBSC will launch its first MBA programs (full-time and part-time) in September 2017. Undergraduate programs are expected to be launched in Fall 2019.

Faculty and Staff at MBSC are international and cosmopolitan, and hail from all parts of the world.

The Position:
Applications are invited for an Economics faculty position. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to teach frameworks for evaluating the differences among the business environments in different countries – including their values and norms, legal systems, and policies towards human capital development in addition to a broad range of other economic topics including microeconomics, macroeconomics, money and banking, and global financial strategy.
Applicants must be willing to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Position Requirements:
• A PhD (or equivalent) from an AACSB, Equis or AMBA accredited school.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in relevant subject at the university level.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
• A record of peer-reviewed publications in quality outlets and an active research pipeline.
• Preference will be given to those candidates whose PhD (or equivalent) is from a degree granting institution ranked in the top 100 in the Times Higher Education list of best global universities or in the top 100 list of US News & World Report’s best global universities in Economics and Business.

Research and service record should be commensurate with position (full or associate). Employment will require successful completion of credentials verification and background check(s) in accordance with the College’s policies.
