Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University invites applications for a Senior Economic Policy Analyst. This is a full-time, non-faculty, non-tenure track research position with anticipated starting date no later than August 1, 2018. The successful candidate will be employed directly by the Center.

Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in economics or a related field such as public policy. Candidates must have significant experience in applied economic policy research and must have excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. The position requires high-impact, self-directed academic research that is relevant to economic policy. The position also requires an ability to mentor and lead teams of researchers and projects, as this is a senior leadership position.

The purpose of the Center is to explore the scientific foundations of the interaction between individuals, business, and government to improve the well-being of individuals and society. While successful candidates would not necessarily need to have expertise in all of the Center’s priority areas, individuals with broad intellectual interests and expertise in the Center’s research areas are especially encouraged to apply.
