Department of International Affairs in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in the area of cyber policy, strategy and security within the field of international relations, comparative politics, economics, or public policy. Texas A&M has invested considerable resources in the cyber realm, including standing up the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center and the Bush School will be a central contributor to that University-wide effort. Candidates with research competency in cyber policy, strategy and security who specialize in areas such as international law and institutions, regulatory law, science and technology, international security, the comparative politics of information, and other relevant topics are invited to apply.

The successful candidate would teach a required course in introductory-level research methods for students, all who are seeking a master’s degree in international affairs, along with offerings in the cyber area. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Political Science, Economics or a related discipline by September 2018. The individual selected will have demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and research in the context of a public policy graduate school environment. The start date for this position will be September 1, 2018.
