Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama is seeking candidates for two tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor positions in Economics in the Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies. Primary duties include teaching economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University. The position will start August 16, 2018.

Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. In economics or a closely related field is required. A demonstrated track record of publication in high-quality economics journals is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching experience in Experimental Methods and/or Applied Econometrics that fit into one of the following University and the Department priority areas:

1. Applied Microeconomics
Behavioral Economics
Public Economics
Health, Education, and Welfare
Environmental Economics

2. Growth and Development
Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics
International Finance
Labor and Demographic Economics

Candidates that have received external funding to support their research are strongly preferred.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and achievements.
