Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics

Job Summary:

The Department of Economics announces a search for a one-year position at the visiting assistant professor rank, effective August, 2017. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for strong teaching and research and will be expected to teach a 3-3 course load including a variety of introductory and advanced courses. Applicants must have research and teaching interests in any applied microeconomics field. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Economics by the time of appointment.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have a commitment to teaching in the liberal arts tradition and show clear potential for scholarly engagement. We seek an Economist trained in any applied microeconomics field, capable of teaching all levels of undergraduate students. The teaching load is 3/3 and includes introductory and upper-level courses in Economics.
