Cleveland State University invites applications for a one year, full-time visiting position at the instructor/assistant professor level in economics beginning August 21, 2017. Teaching responsibilities include a section of Economics of Growth and Development as well as undergraduate microeconomics or macroeconomics theory courses.

The minimum qualification for the position at the Assistant Professor level is that the candidate must complete the Ph.D. by July 1, 2017 and have a field of specialization in economic development or economic growth.

Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research and the ability to contribute through teaching, research, and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.

Application requirements consist of a letter of application, current C.V., evidence of teaching effectiveness, samples of research, and three letters of recommendation.

Hiring is contingent on maintaining existing levels of funding from the State.
