Job Description

The Department of Economics invites applications for a limited-term position at the Assistant Professor level beginning on September 1, 2017. The appointment is non-tenure-track and is renewable for up to five years. The position involves teaching principles, and upper level courses in the candidate's area(s) of interest. We seek applications from candidates in all fields; candidates with a concentration in healthcare, environmental economics, or applied econometrics are especially encouraged to apply. The typical teaching load consists of 3 courses (2 preparations) per semester in a small-class setting.

Job Requirements

Candidates should have their PhD completed or substantially completed by September 1, 2017 (the appointment will be at the Instructor rank if the PhD is not completed by then). The successful candidate will possess a commitment to undergraduate education and the potential for maintaining an active research agenda.

Review of applications will start on January 30 and will continue until the position is filled. Screening interviews will be conducted by phone and will be followed by campus visits Application materials must be submitted online at http://www.stthomas.edu/jobs/.
