The College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University announces a 2-year visiting assistant professor position in economics to begin academic year 2017-2018. The teaching load of six undergraduate courses will include a one-semester Introduction to Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, and courses in the area of the candidate’s expertise (with preferences given to candidates who can teach a course in Financial Institution and Markets). The successful candidate will be committed to the ideals of liberal arts education, active engagement in the department and advising, and high-quality teaching. Candidates with Ph.D. in hand by September 2017 preferred but other advanced ABD candidates will be considered.

Saint John's University, a liberal arts college for men, and the College of Saint Benedict, a liberal arts college for women, are located four miles apart in Central Minnesota just outside St. Cloud and 70 miles from Minneapolis. Both are Catholic colleges in the Benedictine tradition, which emphasize quality teaching and a commitment to intercultural learning.
