Yale University seeks to appoint a Post-Doctoral Associate to conduct research and fieldwork in development economics and applied microeconomics in 2017-18.The Post-Doctoral Associate will collaborate as co-principal investigator with Yale University Professor of Economics Mushfiq Mobarak, as well as with other scholars doing empirical research at Yale and other top-tier academic institutions.

This fellowship will be based at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut and will focus on setting up a data collection site at the Bangladesh/Myanmar border, focused on the Rohingya refugee community. The data collection site is a core project of the Program on Refugees, Forced Displacement, and Humanitarian Responses, at the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale. The fellow will be housed at the MacMillan Center. The fellow will also teach one course on this topic at Yale.

Required qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in economics, public policy, or another quantitative social science discipline, a strong technical understanding of economics and econometrics, Knowledge of data management, econometrics, and use of STATA or other data analysis software, and strong communication skills with fluency in English.
