Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Directorate Monetary Policy (DMP) in the Directorate General Economics (DG/E) of the European Central Bank (ECB) is seeking to hire economists with PhDs in economics or finance. DMP plays a central role in analysing and assessing the ECB's monetary policy stance and preparing the monetary policy decisions of the ECB's Governing Council. Tasks include developing concepts and tools to assess the macroeconomic effects of monetary policy actions, contributing to external communication on monetary policy issues as well as monitoring and assessing market and institutional developments from a monetary policy perspective. Successful candidates will be expected to actively contribute to the DMP's policy work and to conduct and publish high-quality research.
