The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Economics beginning Fall 2017.

Expectations include teaching, research, student advisement, college service, and continuing professional development. SUNY Oneonta is a comprehensive, public, liberal arts and sciences college. The College sits at #9 on the 2016 list of "Top Public Regional Universities" in the North published by U.S. News & World Report, and is ranked #175 in the Northeast on the Forbes magazine list of "America's Top Colleges." The School of Economics and Business is accredited by AACSB International. It houses two academic departments: the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting and the Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems. Three academic majors are offered: Business Economics, Professional Accounting, and Economics. The Professional Accounting major is a 150-hour program registered with the New York State Education Department as meeting CPA curriculum requirements. The School has 34 faculty/staff and approximately 800 students.
The College's business programs are distinguished by small classes, highly accessible faculty, teamwork, and information technology-supported classrooms.
