Banco de la Republica, the Colombian central bank, is interested in hiring new and experienced Ph.D. economists to work at its research department at regional offices.

The main tasks of the potential candidates would be to carry out high-quality policy-relevant research, both for publication in refereed journals and to produce reports for the Bank's senior management. The areas of interest include agricultural and natural resource economics, development economics, industrial organization, international economics, and applied microeconomics and microeconometrics. A good command of spoken and written Spanish is indispensable.
