The Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College invites nominations and applications for appointment as the Austin W. Marxe Chair of Western Hemispheric Affairs and Trade Policy. The position has tenure or accelerated tenure-track status at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor depending on qualifications. The endowed position comes with a reduced teaching load, discretionary research funds, and an annual stipend. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in policy-relevant, theoretically and empirically grounded research in international affairs. The candidate will primarily teach courses for the Marxe School’s new Master of International Affairs (MIA) to be launched in the Fall 2017.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a record of scholarship in the areas of western hemispheric affairs and/or trade policy that merits appointment at the rank of either Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates should have an active agenda of current research with high promise of external funding. Candidates must have a terminal degree (PhD, DPhil, DrPH, JD, etc.) in a field related to international affairs.
