SMU’s Cox School of Business invites applications for Clara R. and Leo F. Corrigan, Sr. Endowed Chair in Real Estate. The ideal candidate should provide evidence of high quality research and teaching. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in finance, real estate, urban economics or a related field. The Real Estate Department offers courses in the School’s BBA, MBA and MS programs. The position will begin Fall 2017.

The Cox School is a nationally ranked business school located in Dallas, Texas, the premier business center in the US Southwest. (http://www.smu.edu/cox) The Real Estate Department has a well-respected faculty and excellent relations with the corporate and business community, providing a unique and exciting environment for high-quality research. The Real Estate Department is further supported by the Folsom Institute for Real Estate within the Cox School. The Institute supports research and the real estate academic programs at both the BBA and MBA levels, and its mission is supported by an executive advisory board of over 100 industry leaders who collaborate with the Institute’s staff and Cox School faculty to guide the direction and efforts of the program. Members of the Institute board contribute on an annual basis to support the operational budget of the Institute, which provides the resources necessary to carry out the Institute’s mission of creating a nationally recognized academic center for the study of real estate. The School offers a collegial working environment, generous faculty support and outstanding facilities. The DFW Metroplex has a relatively low cost of living as well as myriad cultural and recreational activities.
