Education Research Alliance for New Orleans seeks a post-doctoral fellow with interest in market-based school reform and college access to conduct and publish original research related to two ongoing projects: (a) a large randomized trial of financial aid for low-income high school students and (b) market-based New Orleans school reforms post Hurricane Katrina. ERA-New Orleans is a collaborative interdisciplinary research center. Researchers also work in collaboration with practitioners.

The fellow will carry out applied econometric research, leveraging extensive student-level linked datasets linked to surveys and other data sources. One-third of the Fellow’s time will go toward providing research support for the above projects. Another third of the Fellow's time will go toward co-authored academic studies on these topics. The remaining time will be available for the Fellow to work on other projects. Teaching is not required.

Required Education and Experience:
1. PhD in economics, psychology, sociology, education, public policy or related field
2. Experience and training in econometric analysis of student-level education data to address questions related to school reform and/or college access.

The position will start no later than August, 2017.
