Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) at Osaka University invites applications for a position in applied econometrics or applied microeconomics. We are interested in candidates who also specialize in one of the following fields: development economics, international trade, international finance, health economics, public economics, regional economics, environmental economics, international relations, comparative politics, and law and economics. The candidate for a tenure-track assistant professor position is expected to have a Ph.D. degree by August 31, 2017 and must demonstrate the potential for publishing high-quality academic research. For a tenured associate professor position, the applicant must have at least four refereed publications, including two or more single-authored papers and three or more publications in peer-reviewed international journals.

Successful applicants will be asked to offer a course in either applied econometrics or applied microeconomics, to give lectures and seminars on their fields of specialization to undergraduate and/or graduate students, and to provide M.A. and Ph.D. theses supervisions. Successful applicants are expected to take up duties on or after June 1, 2017. (The starting date is negotiable.)

2) A detailed curriculum vitae, clearly marking refereed publications (please include telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of two referees).
3) A (scanned) PDF file of the certificate of Ph.D. degree, or a letter from the thesis supervisor to certify that the applicants can meet our degree requirement deadline.
4) PDF files of 1-3 published and/or unpublished papers.
