The Department of Economics of Tilburg University is seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Economics. Applicants should have outstanding research potential and the potential of teaching economics successfully at an undergraduate as well as a graduate level. The tenure track position offers ample opportunities to do research as it carries a light teaching load (approximately one course per semester). After at most five years a tenure decision is made. The department seeks a diverse work force and female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Tilburg University is an academic institution based in the Netherlands with a strong research reputation. It offers competitive European salaries. Researchers from outside the Netherlands can apply for tax-free allowance equal to 30% of their taxable salary. The School will provide assistance in finding suitable accommodation and in other relocation issues.
Tilburg University is the host to CentER, an internationally recognized research center which after its establishment in 1988 has evolved into a broad-based research institute spanning every field of economics and business.

Research groups hosted by the Department of Economics are the European Banking Center (EBC), Experimental Economists @ Tilburg (EET), Tilburg Law and Economics Center (TILEC), and Tilburg Sustainability Center (TSC).
