The Luskin Center within the UCLA School of Public Affairs seeks to hire a postdoctoral researcher with strong empirical quantitative skills and applied economics, policy, planning or engineering training.

The successful candidate will conduct applied research in the following fields: electric vehicles, shared mobility, air quality modeling, and autonomous vehicles.
• Design and conduct economic analyses,
• Write grant and contract proposals.
• Contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
• Manage projects that involve multiple collaborators,
• Supervise the work of junior researchers, and
• Provide timely responses to information demand from external audiences

Applicants should possess some combination of:

• PhD in Economics, Public Policy or related field.
• Strong quantitative skills including: advanced statistical analysis, modeling and organizing multiple datasets, panel data methods.
• Interest in federal, state and local advanced transportation policies

The contract position is two years with possibility of extension. The position is based in the UCLA Luskin Center directed by Dr. J.R. DeShazo.
