The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) of Osaka University has job openings for one non-tenure-track assistant professor position in experimental economics beginning on or after April 1st, 2017 (September 1st, 2017 at the latest). The appointment is for the fixed term of three years with the possibility of one renewal. A successful candidate should have a strong background in experimental economics and is expected to be fully engaged in managing experimental laboratories located at ISER.

Job description:
1. Managing the experimental laboratories at ISER.
2. Conducting research on the own initiative.
3. Teaching at the graduate level either in the Graduate School of Economics, or the Osaka School of International Public Policy, both of Osaka University.

Requirement:
1. Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in economics or related fields.
2. Teaching ability in English or Japanese.

Employment conditions: Full-time, on the 3-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of one renewal (maximum of 6 years). Salary will be determined according to the personnel regulations of Osaka University. Research allowances and paid vacations will be provided.

Starting date: on or after April 1st, 2017 at the earliest possible time; September 1st, 2017 at the latest.

Selection process: Review of application material is followed by a visit to ISER for an interview and a seminar.
