The Finance Department at HEC Montreal invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in the academic year 2017/2018. Candidates are sought in all areas of finance.

Job Qualifications: Candidates should hold a doctorate in Finance or in a related field, or be close to completion. Candidates should be promising scholars. We are also looking for seasoned assistant professors. Successful candidates will be expected to publish research in leading journals and to teach high-quality graduate and undergraduate Finance courses.

Job Description: The typical teaching load for new professors is 3 semester-courses (108 class-hours) per year. Research publications are financially rewarded based on journal ranking. French is the primary working environment and language of instruction at the School (although English classes are also offered) and candidates are expected to integrate themselves in such an environment. HEC Montréal provides excellent support (including language teachers and teaching load reduction) to become proficient in French both inside and outside of the classroom.
