Hofstra University’s Department of Health Professions in the School of Health Professions and Human Services invites applications for anticipated tenure-track line at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Health Care Administration. Research or teaching experience in health economics, quantitative data analytics, health policy, quality improvement, or organizational behavior and theory is favored; exceptional candidates with experience in related areas will be considered.

The MHA Program at Hofstra University is a large and dynamic program that draws both early and mid-career students from across the health care continuum. Academic-based faculty as well as health care executives provide expertise and resources to the program offering students a rich theoretical and applied foundation in health care administration.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a PhD, or equivalent degree, by August 1, 2017. Preference will be given to candidates with an established record or demonstrated potential for teaching excellence, scholarly activity, mentoring students, and working with community groups.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will instruct graduate students in the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program and related graduate programs. In addition, the candidate will mentor and advise students, maintain an active, collaborative research agenda, and actively participate in and contribute to Department and University committees and services.
