The Department of Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The scientist being sought will have a research concentration in Healthcare Policy.

Qualifications include a PhD (or equivalent), with at least 2-3 years of experience in research or research-related roles beyond the PhD, and a proven record of excellence in research as demonstrated by scholarly publications and the ability to compete successfully for funding. This Healthcare Policy Scientist will have formal training in one or more disciplines relevant to policy including economics, political science, law, business, or other social science disciplines. They will have research skills and expertise relevant to healthcare policy, and include the study of methods to promote the integration of research findings and evidence into healthcare policy and practice, and will address the fundamental questions around the place(s) that precision medicine discoveries might be applied in the health system.
