Professors in Economics - Competitive Salary
Associate Professors in Economics - £54,126 to £68,519, inclusive of market supplement

This is a time of unprecedented change for the Department of Economics as we embark on a large programme of expansion and development. For you, this means an opportunity to shape the future of our vibrant Department, of our excellent students and of our world-class research.

Building on our current strength in research and teaching, we are looking for world-leading and ambitious scholars who want to be part of this exciting development and can help us to continue to further strengthen our dynamic research groups. These include Macroeconomics and Finance, Econometrics, Economic Theory, Public and Environmental Economics and Labour/Education/Health Economics.

The Department is characterised by a vibrant research culture generating knowledge, developing new ideas and techniques and attracting high quality undergraduate and postgraduate students to an extensive range of programmes. Our research activities inform student learning and encourage the interaction between academia and the wider society, in terms of policy formulation, outcome evaluation and knowledge transfer to business and public organisations.

All applicants are expected to have an excellent track record of publications, research grant acquisition and teaching experience, commensurate to their stage of career. Those appointed to Professorial positions will be expected to contribute to the management and leadership of the Department and have the ability to influence and shape its output and success.
