The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Arts at Ryerson University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position, at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2017, subject to final budgetary approval. All applicants must have completed a PhD in Economics (or expect to do so by the end of 2017).


The areas of specialization are Applied Microeconomics, Econometrics and Macro-Finance. The successful candidate will have the ability to contribute to both our undergraduate and graduate programs. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of high-quality teaching, a strong research profile and an emerging scholarly record (e.g., ability to establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program), as well as the capacity for collegial service. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to upholding the values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to service, teaching, and scholarly, research or creative activities.
