The Department of Economics, Finance and Insurance at the University of Hartford invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in Economics beginning fall 2017. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Economics (by August 2017 at the latest) with an emphasis in applied microeconomics, and be prepared to teach courses in Principles of Economics, Managerial Economics, Statistics, and Business Analytics. There will be an opportunity to teach elective courses in economics. There may also be opportunities to teach in our innovative interdisciplinary All-University Curriculum. Candidates should show a willingness and ability to employ technology in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver excellent teaching, conduct high quality research, render the usual service required of faculty in institutions of higher education, and be committed to working with diverse body of students. Recent teaching experience is required.
