The Economics Department invites applications for multiple tenure-track appointments at the Assistant or Associate Professor levels beginning August 2017. USNA is a Military Service Academy and a top tier undergraduate institution with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in faculty teaching and research. The Economics Department maintains a large majors program and offers a highly quantitative curriculum. Candidates should expect to contribute to teaching Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics and or Economic Statistics and Econometrics, as well as upper-level electives in their field of concentration. Candidates should have a robust research agenda and strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Teaching load is typically three courses per semester with small section sizes (10-25 students and 2-3 preps per year). Candidates should also have a strong commitment to student advising and mentoring, and to service to the institution.
