Description: The Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics seeks candidates at the level of Full or Associate Professor to conduct research, outreach, and teaching related to the economics of derivatives trading. The person in this position is expected to provide intellectual leadership through a nationally recognized scholarly program addressing topics such as forward, futures, and options pricing, hedging strategies, risk measurement and management, speculation, clearing, and regulation. Key clientele will include traders, industry representatives, policy makers, and regulators. The position has an important dimension of outreach to industry and policy audiences. Instructional responsibilities will be at a level consistent with the other expectations of the position.

Position: The position is defined as a nine-month, tenured appointment in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in economics, business, finance, agricultural economics or a related field with proven expertise in the economics of derivatives markets. Candidate must meet campus and departmental standards for a tenured appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level and for an endowed Chair, Professor, or Scholar as appropriate, and will be subject to institutional requirements for periodic review and reappointment.

Salary/Appointment: Competitive; based on qualifications; 9-month academic year; tenured. The starting date will follow the position announcement deadline for full consideration and is negotiable.
