The Division of Health Services Research in the Department of Health Research and Policy at the Stanford University School of Medicine invites applications for a University Tenure Line faculty position. This position is open to candidates at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. Applicants should have a PhD degree, or an MD with expertise in a discipline related to health economics or health services research, such as economics, outcomes research, or health policy.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The Division’s research and teaching interests lie in the areas of health economics, health services research, outcomes research, comparative effectiveness analysis, and public health policy/law. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a significant program of research and teaching in one or more of these areas, including but not necessarily limited to U.S. health policy.

The Division of Health Services Research is a multidisciplinary group with active research programs as well as educational programs serving many types of students and trainees, including Health Policy PhD students. It is housed in the Department of Health Research and Policy, along with the Division of Epidemiology. The research and teaching of the Division is integrated into the broader Stanford Health Policy community and pursued in collaboration with many groups on campus including the Center for Health Policy, Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research, Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, Stanford Prevention Research Center, and Clinical Excellence Research Center.
