The University of British Columbia (Vancouver campus) is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be within the Food and Resource Economics group in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2017.

We seek a collegial and collaborative individual who must have a Ph.D. degree in agricultural economics or economics, or an expectation of completing their Ph.D. by June 2017. The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in applied econometrics in a subject related to food, environment or resources. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong potential to: a) publish in high quality journals, and b) as a high quality university instructor. The potential to engage in multidisciplinary research is encouraged. We expect the successful candidate to establish and maintain a high quality research program in the area of food, agricultural, or natural resource economics; areas of research interests include, but are not limited to, food and consumer economics, agricultural pollution, weather and agriculture, agroforestry, agricultural, food and/or environmental labeling, or natural resource economics.
