Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Business Economics and Public Policy (BEPP) area of the Ross School of Business is seeking an applied economist for a tenure-track position, preferably at the “senior assistant professor” level (i.e., 2 or more years post-PhD), though candidates at the tenured associate professor level will also be considered.

Faculty members in the BEPP area are empirically oriented with research interests in industrial organization, international trade, public finance, energy, environmental, labor and health economics. The ideal candidate shares our public policy orientation and does work that spans more than one of these areas.

BEPP faculty members teach in all of the Ross School’s programs (undergrad, full-time MBA, part-time MBA, specialty masters and PhD). The individual hired for this position should be able to teach the core micro-economics course and to develop topical electives in one or more of these programs. Prior experience teaching MBA students is highly valued.

To be considered, candidates must apply at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan website: http://michiganross.umich.edu/faculty-research/recruiting. For the application to be considered complete, it must include a cover letter, CV, writing sample and evidence of teaching performance, such as course evaluations.

To ensure consideration, applications should be submitted by December 15, 2016.

The University of Michigan conducts background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background checks. Background checks will be performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
