We welcome applications from different disciplinary backgrounds including, but not limited to, political science, health economics, health policy, medical sociology, and health services research. We are particularly interested in individuals who are interested in conducting rigorous empirical research in health policy or health services, including studies of the policy-making process, policy implementation, and policy modeling, as well as research examining how organizational behavior, financial incentives, individual decision-making and regulatory constraints affect the delivery and quality of health care.

Candidates must have a doctoral degree by the start of appointment, a well-developed research plan, publications in peer-reviewed journals (or the potential to publish therein), and the ability to compete effectively for extramural funding. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to teach and participate in training masters-level and doctoral-level students.

Information about the Department and YSPH can be found at http://publichealth.yale.edu/hpm/ and http://publichealth.yale.edu, respectively. Information about Yale can be located at: www.yale.edu. Applicants are encouraged to submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, a research paper, and three letters of reference. Review of applications will commence on October 15, 2016, although applications received through December 1, 2016 will be given full consideration in the initial selection of candidates. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
