The Economics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a position in applied econometrics or econometrics at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) level.

The Economics Department has a Ph.D. program, a professional Master’s program, and several undergraduate programs. Applicants will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level; advise and mentor graduate students; contribute to graduate education, the research environment of the department, and to university and professional service. Teaching assignments for the person filling this position includes a course that is accessible to students in the proposed Social Sciences M.S. program in Quantitative Data Analysis and that also benefits graduate students in the Economics Department. The successful candidate must be able to work with students, faculty, and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and/or service.
