More than ever, banking supervision runs on big data. Whether modeling wholesale credit risk for Dodd Frank Act Stress Testing, probing inner workings of models used by large banks or conducting research on better ways to monitor financial stability, the Wholesale Credit Risk Center (WCRC) engages with cutting edge technology to foster a more efficient and stable financial system.

Activities:
•Research, development and implementation of models used to monitor risk in the financial system. Models include bank stress testing as well as asset quality at the portfolio level.
•Independently assessing complex quantitative methodologies financial institutions use to capture, measure and translate wholesale exposures into estimates of potential loss under stressful scenarios.
•Collects and analyzes risk data, provides perspectives of wholesale credit risk practices
•Supports supervision of capital adequacy & stress testing.
•Develops wholesale lending loss models and assess systemically important financial institutions modeling

Requirements:
•PhD, or post masters course work in quantitative modeling or statistical analysis fields highly preferred
•Without PhD,10-15 years direct related work experience
•15 % travel required
•Must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents
