The Department of Economics at Furman University invites applications for two open rank tenure-track positions to begin August 1, 2017. We encourage applications from candidates in any field of economics who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, student advising, and research in a liberal arts environment. We are interested in hiring faculty members with diverse perspectives who will foster innovation in our curriculum and provide a rich and varied educational experience for our students. In addition to teaching courses in their areas of expertise, all department members contribute to the teaching of some core courses in economics (principles, statistics, econometrics, intermediate theory, and/or senior seminar). The teaching responsibility is five courses per academic year.
