We invite you to join the Irvine, CA based IHS team that produces EViews®, the market-leading econometric and forecasting software program. EViews is employed worldwide by economists and statisticians in government, business, and academics to conduct research, perform analysis and simulation, produce forecasts, and support undergraduate and graduate instruction.

As a member of the EViews team, you will participate in developing easy-to-use tools for performing econometric, time series, and statistical analysis.

Principal duties will include:
•researching econometric and statistical methodology
•authoring user-documentation, training, and other materials
•aiding in the design, programming, numerical validation, and testing of software
•assisting EViews team members with technical support, education, and marketing with emphases varying depending on your qualifications, background, and interests.

Qualifications:

Essentials:
•Master’s or Ph.D. degree in econometrics, statistics, or related fields.
•Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
•Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
•The ability to write and edit technical material, and communicate concepts and applications to technical and non-technical users.
•Flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and within a small team environment.

Preferences:
•Experience in applied data analysis, particularly in applied macroeconomic modeling and time series analysis.
•Experience with EViews or related software products (such as SAS, R, Stata, or Matlab) that extends beyond routine classroom use.
•Computer programming experience.
