Full Text of JOE Listing:

Applications are now being accepted for 2017. The Fellowship Program offers a unique opportunity to perform research at the Bureau of Economic Analysis. BEA produces key economic statistics that influence government policy, forecasting and business investment. Fellows will have access to BEA data and the expertise of BEA staff.

Eligibility:
An academically recognized research record and considerable expertise in the area of proposed research required. Topics in any area related to measurement of economic activity accepted; these may be conceptual or methodological in nature.

U.S. government employees not eligible to apply. Must be affiliated with a U.S. institution.

Condition of Appointment/Benefits:
Research will be conducted at BEA. The stipend received is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Term of appointment flexible. Fringe benefits and travel allowances negotiable.

3. Detailed proposal including:
background on research topic
significance of expected results
relevance to BEA’s mission
detailed budget estimate
