The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to start August 2017. The department seeks candidates in applied microeconomics whose research addresses questions related to the relationship between laws and regulations and economics performance. The successful candidate will carry out a sustained program of high-quality research and publication, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and participate in normal service requirements. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the department's markets and institutions group and have an affiliation with the L. Charles Hilton Jr. Center for the Study of Economic Prosperity and Individual Opportunity. The department may hire at either the advanced assistant professor (i.e., Ph.D. in hand with prior academic experience) or new Ph.D. level.
