Position number 50602. The Department of Economics in Dedman College of Southern Methodist University (SMU) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, effective Fall 2017. The successful candidate will have a strong research focus in empirical microeconomics. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in areas with a global dimension such as development, environment/natural resource, immigration, poverty, and urban economics; other areas such as education, health, and labor will also be considered. The ability to teach econometrics is a significant plus. Ph.D. is required by August 1, 2017.
