EIA-the primary federal government authority on energy statistics and analysis-is seeking an economist for the macroeconomic analysis team (MAT). EIA collects, analyzes, and disseminates independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment.

The economist conducts and supports research, analysis, and modeling related to interactions between the energy sector, energy and financial markets, and national economies. The position requires strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, the ability to write clearly and work independently, and a desire to understand a broad range of economic issues.
