Bryant University, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Economics, seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 1, 2017. The Economics Department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics. Candidates will be required to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Economics including Principles (micro and macro), Intermediate Macroeconomics, Financial Economics, Econometrics/Research Methods and/or possibly any upper level Behavioral/Experimental Economics. Outstanding teaching ability and enthusiasm for teaching are essential, as is strong scholarly potential.

Bryant University is a selective, four-year, residential university with strong programs in business and liberal arts. Bryant currently offers twelve degree programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business and Arts and Sciences. Our residential campus is 15 minutes northwest of Providence, one hour from Boston, and three hours from New York City. The University serves approximately 3,200 undergraduates and 300 graduate (Masters-level) students. Qualifications: The position requires a Ph.D. in economics or evidence (letter from major dissertation advisor) that all Ph.D. degree requirements will be completed by Fall 2017. Bryant is committed to faculty development on a strong teacher/scholar model, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to an ongoing research and publication agenda.
