The NYU School of Professional Studies Schack Institute of Real Estate (NYUSPS Schack) invites applications for an Academic Director, a full-time non-tenured faculty position beginning September 1, 2016. The rank of the position will depend on experience and qualifications.

The Academic Director is responsible for hiring, oversight, and on-going communication with faculty and staff, management of academic curriculum and policies, management of student services and concerns, and collaborating with many other SPS and NYU offices.

Faculty appointments are for nine months, and are renewable annually based on performance. The Academic Director will typically teach two classes per year.

NYUSPS Schack offers three Master of Science degrees: the M.S.in Real Estate; the M.S. in Construction Management; and the M.S. in Real Estate Development.

The successful candidate will possess advanced academic and/or professional credentials, with an earned doctorate preferred, relevant industry experience, and experience teaching at the graduate level in a selective university environment. Administrative experience in a university academic department is also required.
