The Navigant Economics team includes more than 60 leading academic and industry professional consultants with offices in Chicago, New York, and Washington DC. Candidates must demonstrate superior judgment, and superior professionalism, must be mature, focused, organized, and able to work independently and multi-task while prioritizing work load. We are looking for someone who is energetic, pro-active, and personable, with excellent follow-up skills and initiative. Candidate must be a team player who can juggle a wide range of tasks and activities. Flexible hours and overtime hours are required, and may be unexpected at times.

Responsibilities:

Direct and supervise Analysts, Consultants, Senior Consultants, Managing Consultants, and Administrative Support in the development of Expert Reports, deposition preparation, trial preparation and all aspects of a Client’s case; provide proactive leadership as a case manager
Act as liaison with Client contacts as required
Acquire and maintain broad knowledge of a case across multiple internal constituencies
Direct and develop computer models including detailed, and potentially, complex analysis and supervise similar work conducted by subordinates
Supervise and conduct data gathering activities including document review and supervision and quality control of data entry activities
Perform statistical analysis on samples and interpret results
Lead and supervise teams in small and large engagements
Responsible for engagement planning and management
Responsible for reasonable adherence to budgets and for creative approaches to achieving high-quality work product within budget
Prepare client communications for senior level review
Train, develop and act as a mentor to Analysts, Consultants, Sr. Consultants, and Managing Consultants
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Five years of experience in an economic consulting firm or relevant, related experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; Masters or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Math, Accounting or related field highly desirable
Experience with data analysis or data packages
Strong analytical, research, statistical sampling and quantitative abilities
Ability to lead small and large project teams or work streams on a variety of engagements
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timely deadlines
Experience preparing and presenting client deliverables within defined timelines and budgets
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel
Communicate frequently with co-workers as well as with managers to discern their needs, and be able to express themselves
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously
Ability to direct and motivate members of your project teams
Able to travel via airplane with minimal assistance to client sites across the US and potentially internationally
Generally works in an office environment
