We welcome you to apply for a permanent position as Associate Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Bergen.
The Department has research groups in the following three fields:
Industrial organization and economic organization
Welfare, social insurance and health
Natural resources, environmental and development economics
The department aims to strengthen its academic expertise and breadth. The vacant position is not tied to any particular research group but it is expected that the successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the department’s research and educational profiles. The associate professor will be hired with a responsibility to teach at all levels, and to engage in other tasks at the Department.
The successful applicant must have a doctoral degree in economics or equivalent qualifications.

The teaching language will normally be Norwegian. The successful applicant must be able to teach in Norwegian or one of the other Scandinavian languages within two years of his/her appointment.
