There is an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research assistantship in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University, in collaboration with the US Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station in Fort Collins, Colorado. The position is funded through a National Science Foundation / Coastal SEES Collaborative Research grant – award number 1427157, and is part of an interdisciplinary team spread across several universities. The main role of the postdoc will be to develop and use global economic models to analyze the effects of proposed trade agreements and new shipping routes due to climate change and infrastructure developments on global trade. Outputs from these models will be used by the team to assess the risk of ship-borne invasive species introductions throughout the world. The postdoc is expected to maintain an active research agenda and contribute to group publications, both disciplinary and interdisciplinary. This position is a two year temporary appointment, renewable contingent on funding after the first two years.
