Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) works exclusively for the U.S. Congress, providing policy analysis to committees and Members of the House and Senate. As a legislative branch agency within the Library of Congress, CRS has been a valued and respected resource on Capitol Hill for over a century.

CRS seeks an Analyst in Social Policy to provide expertise on Social Security (ex. program design and operations, impact on beneficiaries, financing options for Social Security reform) or related income security programs. The analyst provides objective policy analysis, including preparing non-partisan analytical studies and descriptive reports on income security programs, and objective consultation with congressional committees, Members of Congress, and their staff throughout the legislative process, and participates in multi-disciplinary research projects and seminars.

Applicants should have experience conducting policy analysis related to Social Security or other income security programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in a social science (ex. economics, demography, public policy, political science) or finance discipline as it relates to social insurance/income security programs and have the ability to design and implement quantitative methodologies. Strong writing, research, and presentation skills are essential.

CRS is committed to workforce diversity. Interested applicants must apply online at:
