The candidate should demonstrate competency in teaching, advising, and research. Teaching assignments will include: Principles of Economics (both micro and macro), Intermediate Micro and/or Macroeconomics, at least one applied economics field (for example, local economic impact analysis, benefit-cost analysis, environmental, health care, or government finance), and Quantitative Methods. Candidates should show excellent written and verbal communication skills and both interest in and ability to collaborate on student, faculty, and community-based research initiatives in at least one applied area of interest. Desire and experience to teach, mentor, and support students from diverse background and learning styles.

Minimum Qualifications
•A doctoral degree (or ABD status) in Economics, Public Policy, or related discipline at the time of appointment from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
•Ability to teach microeconomics and macroeconomics at the introductory level, microeconomics and/or macroeconomics at the intermediate (undergraduate) level, at least one applied economics field, and quantitative methods courses at the advanced undergraduate level.
•Demonstrated maintenance of an active scholarly or applied research program.
•Experience teaching in a face-to-face classroom environment.
•Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications
•Demonstrated interest and ability in acquiring external funding for research.
•Experience teaching online in a college or university setting.
•Experience with academic advising of students.
