Salary:
Competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The base salary is consistent with comparable AACSB—International accredited public research universities. This position is a twelve-month position.

Job Duties:
The selected candidate will serve in an administrative role as the Director for the Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade (CSWHT). As Director, the faculty will have a reduced teaching load. The Director for the CSWHT must possess effective leadership, managerial, supervisory skills, and knowledge of western hemispheric economies. The Director oversees the Annual Conference sponsored by the CSWHT and works with the Laredo business community in bringing internationally recognized speakers to Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) to speak on topics related to international economics and business. As a faculty member, the candidate is expected to pursue an active research program, perform undergraduate and graduate teaching, supervise graduate students, and engage in service activities.

Required Qualifications:
An earned doctoral degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Business Administration or a related field from an AACSB--International accredited business school. The candidate must show a record of high quality scholarly publications, an active research stream, and experience in teaching in the candidate’s discipline and be qualified to be tenured at the appropriate level.

Preferred Qualifications:
It is desired that the successful candidate have evidence of research interests in topics related to Mexico, Central and South America, and the Western Hemisphere and evidence of successful interaction with the international business community in this region.
