Applications are invited for a tenure-track assistant professor starting August 2016. Ph.D. in economics or agricultural economics is preferred. ABD candidates will be considered, but must complete Ph.D. by August 2016 for tenure-track appointment. Competence to teach Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics and some combination of the following upper-division courses serving Economics and Agricultural Studies majors: Commodity Futures, Managerial Economics, Leadership & Labor Issues in Agriculture, Labor Economics, Ag Markets & Pricing, Farm Management, Economics & Agriculture, Agriculture Property Appraisal, Agricultural Finance, and Strategic Management. Position is contingent upon availability of authorized funding.
A complete application must include: application letter identifying courses applicant is most qualified to teach and research interests, curriculum vita, statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching proficiency, three letters of reference, sample of research, and unofficial photocopies of graduate transcripts. Official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.
We will begin reviewing complete applications January 18, 2016. This appointment is scheduled to begin on August 19, 2016. Applications accepted until position is filled.
