Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts Division Director - 81665

Berkeley Lab is in search of a Division Director to provide vision, leadership and management for our Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts (EAEI) Division.  Reporting to the Associate Lab Director for Energy Technologies Area (ETA), the Division Director is part of Berkeley Lab’s Senior Management Team.  The Division Director role at Berkeley Lab is both a leader/manager and an active researcher.  The Division Director will lead a staff of more than 150 talented scientists and technical experts and over $35M in annual funding across several specialized areas: Electricity Markets & Policy, Energy Efficiency Standards, International Energy Studies, Indoor Environment, and Sustainable Energy Systems.  

As a leader of this dynamic organization, the Division Director will ensure the quality of research in the division, enhance existing research programs, and develop new programs. The Division Director will collaborate and coordinate with other leadership members of the Energy Technologies Area research divisions, and establish and sustain other partnerships within the Lab, with academia, and with the broader ecosystem that includes industry partners, other national laboratories, state and federal agencies, and other international organizations.  For more information, please visit: https://eaei.lbl.gov/home
