Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) works exclusively for the U.S. Congress, providing policy analysis to committees and Members of the House and Senate, regardless of party affiliation. As a legislative branch agency within the Library of Congress, CRS has been a valued and respected resource on Capitol Hill for over a century.

CRS seeks an Analyst in Macroeconomic Policy to join the Banking, Insurance, Securities, and Macroeconomics Section of its Government and Finance Division. The analyst provides objective public policy analysis and consultation, including preparing objective, non-partisan, analytical studies and descriptive and background reports on issues of national significance; providing personal assistance to congressional committees, Members of Congress, and their staff throughout the legislative process; and participating in multi-disciplinary team research projects and seminars. The analyst is also expected to develop over time the skills necessary to provide analysis at increasingly sophisticated levels.

Applicants should have experience conducting analysis on macroeconomic issues and the U.S. economy. Applicants with previous experience providing sophisticated economic analysis to congressional staff and Members and with research or work experience analyzing the U.S. economy are especially encouraged to apply.

CRS is fully committed to workforce diversity. Interested applicants must apply online at http://www.loc.gov/crsinfo.
